That's exactly why I started Soul of a Home. I'm Jenn, a Texas maker and lifelong creative, and I began making my own candles after years of loving home fragrance, and finding that most of it made me feel worse, not better.
A friend visited our home once while a store-bought candle burned nearby. Within minutes, she was coughing, her eyes irritated. We put it out, and she was fine. That moment sent me into deep research on ingredients, wax, and fragrance, and eventually into my own kitchen, testing until I found something I could actually stand behind.
