Why I Give Back to Magdalene House Austin

In July 2025, my husband and I met a woman at a HomeAid Austin booth. HomeAid builds and renovates housing for people experiencing homelessness, working alongside local agencies across the city. We stopped to talk with her about the work HomeAid does, and on our way out, she told me about Magdalene House Austin.
Magdalene House provides a home, community, and a path forward for women recovering from trafficking and exploitation. That conversation stuck with me. I wanted Soul of a Home to be more than candles, tumblers, wax melts, and mists sitting on a shelf. I wanted it to actually do something.
So I made a decision: 5% of the net revenue from every purchase, whether it's a candle, a tumbler, a wax melt, a mist, a wick trimmer, or a gift card, goes to Magdalene House Austin.
It's a small thing next to the work Magdalene House does every day. But it's a way of saying that a home should be a place of safety and dignity for everyone, and that's worth building toward, one scent at a time.
