Candle Safety Checklist

  • Trim

    Trim your wick to 1/4" before every burn - it keeps the flame steady and the glow just right.

  • Burn

    Set your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface and let the first burn reach the edges - it sets the tone for every burn after.

  • Time

    For safety and a longer-lasting candle, burn no more than 4 hours at a time.

  • Stay

    Never leave a lit candle unattended - a little care goes a long way in a home you love.

  • Drafts

    Keep your candle away from vents, fans, and drafts, so the flame can stay calm and steady.

  • Cover

    Replace the lid between burns to keep your scent - and your candle - at its best.

Candle Troubleshooting

My candle is tunneling (wax left on the sides).
This usually means the first burn was cut too short. Try a candle warmer if this happens.

The wax looks bumpy or rough after it cools.
Completely normal - it's a natural trait of plant-based waxes like coconut-soy. It'll burn just as beautifully next time.

The flame is too tall or flickering a lot.
The wick needs trimming. Extinguish, let it cool, trim to 1/4", then relight.

There is black soot on the jar.
Usually caused by an untrimmed wick or a draft. Wipe the jar with a damp cloth, trim the wick, and move it away from any airflow before your next burn.

The wick has "mushroomed" (a small bump forms on top after burning).
This can be common with candles, especially particular wicks, and doesn't affect performance. Before each burn, trim the wick to 1/4" - this keeps the "mushroom" in check and gives you a cleaner burn.

Wax Melts

How to Use Your Wax Melts
Wax melts are a flameless way to fill your home with fragrance. They work by warming - not burning - the wax to gently release the scent.

  • Remove the desired number of cubes from the clamshell packaging. Start with one cube and add more to intensify the scent.
  • Place cubes into the dish of an approved electric or tealight wax warmer. Never use a stovetop, oven, or microwave.
  • The wax will melt and release fragrance. Once the scent fades, discard the cooled wax and add fresh cubes.
  • Never add water, oil, or any other substance to the wax melts.
  • Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
  • Never leave an active warmer unattended.

Warmer Types & Tips

  • Tealight Warmers

    Use unscented tealights only. Never leave
    unattended. Keep at least 12" from flammable surfaces.

  • Electric Warmers

    Recommended for consistent, controlled heat. No open flame. Great for bedrooms, offices, and households with children or pets.

Room + Linen Mists

How to Use
• Shake well before every use. The fragrance compounds naturally settle between uses.
• Hold 6-8 inches away and mist into the air, or lightly spray onto fabrics (test on an inconspicuous area first).
• Ideal surfaces: curtains, throws, blankets, bed sheets, and upholstered furniture.
• Safe to use in the car for a quick refresh on the go.
• Pack in your luggage when traveling to make hotel rooms and vacation rentals feel more like home.

Clogged Nozzle? Occasionally the mist tube may clog. If this happens, simply unscrew the spray top and spray a small amount to clear the tube, then screw it back on.

Storage

  • Candles

    Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the lid on to keep the fragrance just as it should be.

  • Wax Melts

    Keep in the sealed clamshell until you're ready to use them, stored away from heat.

  • Room + Linen Mists

    Store upright at room temperature, away from extreme heat - never left in a hot car for long.
